The founders of Louisiana Loaded had an idea to showcase Louisiana in all its glory and to prove why it’s better than anywhere else in the country. Born and raised here, Gordon McKernan has spent his life in the outdoors, at the tailgate, in local restaurants, and deep in the community. He’s passionate about the food, the music, the traditions, and most of all, the people who make Louisiana what it is. Through his law practice and community efforts, Gordon has dedicated himself to helping Louisianians in their times of need and lifting up the places and people that make this state one of a kind.

To bring that vision to life, Gordon brought on Will Hellmers, a born-and-raised Louisianian from New Orleans. After graduating from Jesuit High School, Will chose to stay close to home by attending Louisiana State University to play baseball for the Tigers. In 2023, he helped lead LSU to a National Championship. He has spent his life hunting, fishing, tailgating, and chasing down every bit of flavor and culture Louisiana has to offer. His deep roots and love for the state made him the perfect person to take Gordon’s concept and run with it across every corner of Louisiana.

Together, Gordon and Will built Louisiana Loaded to capture the real Louisiana. The one you taste in a bowl of gumbo, hear in a brass band on the street, and feel when you’re standing in the back of a boat watching the sun rise over the bayou. Every video is a new adventure, but the mission never changes: to celebrate the people, places, and traditions that make Louisiana the best state in the country.
